Brevard County Adopted Plan

The Farmton Local Plan for Brevard County was initially filed in May 2009.  It received a favorable staff report and a favorable recommendation from the Local Planning Agency in August 2009.  The County Commission transmitted the plan in September 2009 and adopted the Farmton Plan in December 2009.  In early 2010, the Florida Department of Community Affairs (DCA) found the Plan not in compliance and an administrative hearing was conducted in August 2010.

Following the hearing, a revised Farmton Plan was presented to Brevard County which was adopted by the County Commission on December 21, 2010 and found in compliance by DCA on January 26, 2011.  The Farmton Plan for Brevard County covers 10,500 acres.
